Homeschool Curriculum Reviews

There are so many good home school books and resources to choose from. Hopefully these homeschool curriculum reviews will help you narrow down the best choices for your family.

I have been home schooling for over 13 years and it’s even easy for me to get confused sometimes too. I’ve been able to use lots of different books and resources over the years. Going to used home school curriculum fairs also helped allow me to look at quite a few books and curriculums.

A couple of years ago I had the privilege of being a part of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine’s Homeschool Crew. For an entire school year various publishers sent us their books and resources and we used and reviewed them. It was a bit harried at times, but a very good experience for all of us to be able to use those materials and then schedule all those homeschool curriculum reviews into our week.

A good homeschool planner can really help keep things organized. I designed my own planner and have used that every year now. It helps me keep track of each student and each subject with ease. I can write down all my choices and then narrow down the best choices at the end. You are welcome to download a copy too.

If you really don’t know what to choose and want some individual and personal coaching, you are welcome to contact me and arrange an hour of home school coaching at homeschool coach. After you pay for the one hour, you then also have free email access to me available for a month after that.

I don’t like programs with a lot of teacher preparation or hand holding required. I like simple page layouts, easy to follow instructions, and material that is fairly interesting for students and parents.
