Craft day for homeschool field trip

We're on the mission field and don't' get lots of opportunity to socialize and integrate.

However, a great fun way to overcome this has been meeting with 2 other families for a 'Crafts Day'. Just before Christmas is a good time as there's lots of inspiration - cards, presents, decorations, etc. As it only occurs a few times a year the Crafts Day is worth a bit of journey to spend the day together with another family.

My Comments: Thanks for sharing this idea. I find that I'm much more motivated to plan a craft project if I know that other children will participate too. Do you set it up so that each Mom brings a project to share?
