Counting to 10, one to one correspondence

by Ruth
(Virginia)

As a reward for any chore, offer 10 chocolate chips. Have them count them with you repeating the numbers. After they have learned to count to 10, count to 20, skip count, etc. I've never had to make my children do this exercise, they are always happy to count for me. They also learn one to one correspondence really fast.

My Comments: - That's a great idea Ruth! You can also substitute raisins, peanuts, or any little snack like that if they had lots of chores and you didn't want them to have too much sugar :))
