Computer Backup

One of the last things on many homeschool moms minds is computer backup. We know we should do it, but who has the time or technical knowledge to be able to do it?

You store lots of things on your computer. You have pictures, documents, homeschool projects, schedules, family information, budget information, your favorite songs, and lots more. Some people store their life on the computer.

Who wants to lose all this information? The thought of losing this information and then having to reenter it can be overwhelming. We all know that many things can not be retrieved or reentered. We all know we don't want to lose a single thing on our computers.

Email is becoming more and more important in our society. Most customer service departments prefer you to email them with a request or complaint. It's easier for a busy homeschool mom to send an email confirming something with a friend than it is to make a phone call. Many times those quick phone calls can turn into a long conversation or counseling session which eat up a lot of time that we don't have.

Let's face it, it's a hassle to do a computer backup. You feel like you have to be a computer geek to be able to know how to back up your files sometimes. Or you don't have the time to go through the motions of getting all those files backed up.

I would often feel a wave of panic come over me when I would think about what would happen if my computer crashed. I knew I hadn't ever done a backup, but I also knew that I didn't have the time to dive into that project either.

This is where Mozy comes in. I signed up for this months ago and now my computer gets backed up automatically for free. If I need more back up space I can always get the $4.95 per month plan or the Mozy Pro plan for my business.

I love being able to get notification that my computer has been backed up and knowing that I didn't have to do anything to get that task accomplished. I encourage you to take this looming task off your to do list and sign up for Mozy today. You'll be glad you did!
