ALTERNATIVES for Preschool

You mentioned this course is advanced. What other home schooling course could you suggest for a 4 year old?

My Comments: I have some suggestions written out at homeschool preschool. You can look at the suggestions there and also download my free ebook 101 Preschool Activities Parents Can Do With Their Child. The ebook will give you lots of suggestions on educational things you can do with your child that are fun for both of you.

If you want to buy a course because your child likes workbooks, I would suggest some PreK workbooks you can purchase at a store or you can get some Get Ready for the Code books. They are fun workbooks that teach your children their letters. I used this for all 4 of my kids. They learned their letters and enjoyed the workbooks.

You should definitely work on helping your child learn how to read. I've listed some recommendations at homeschool reading. Just work at their pace and give them a sense of wonder about words and how much they will be able to read on their own once they are able to read.

I would use the list of books at homeschool Social Studies and homeschool Science. Your child will learn lots and remember more from picture books than they will from textbooks. It's much more enjoyable for both parent and child to use this approach.
